Usability For All
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 28, 2026
At thedigitalresume.in, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our resume to portfolio website generator.
1. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
thedigitalresume.in is built to conform closely to **WCAG 2.1 Level AA** standards. We strive to make our platform accessible by design rather than as an afterthought.
2. Key Accessibility Features Implemented
Our platform incorporates several design and technical features to support usability:
- Keyboard Navigation: All navigation links, interactive wizard tabs, CTA buttons, and form inputs are fully focusable and navigable using standard keyboard commands (`Tab`, `Shift+Tab`, and `Enter` keys).
- Screen Reader Support: We use semantic HTML5 elements (such as `header`, `nav`, `main`, `section`, `article`, and `footer`) and clear `aria-label` tags to help screen readers announce content and control elements clearly.
- Contrast and Typography: Our Outfit and Inter font pairings are chosen for clean legibility. Text elements are styled to maintain high color contrast ratios against background layers, exceeding standard requirements.
- Responsive Design: Our interface is fully responsive, supporting seamless zooming up to 200% without breaking layouts, clipping text, or disrupting the generator flow on mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.
3. Alternative Media & Image Details
We provide clean, text-based descriptions for any non-text visual content. For example, our UPI donation QR code image on the `/donate` page has a corresponding `alt` text and is accompanied by **prominent, readable text equivalents** showing our banking name (Deepak Soni) and UPI ID (9131571736@ybl) so that screen readers and braille displays can parse them instantly.
4. Ongoing Assessment
To maintain high usability, we test our pages against key accessibility standards using a combination of manual keyboard audits, automated accessibility testing engines (such as Lighthouse/Axe DevTools), and assistive technology screen reader simulations.
